We always take family pictures when Grandpa Don and Grandma Anne come to New Jersey, especially during their Christmas visit. The kids get a picture taken with their grandparents and Dave and I get one with the kids. It is amazing to see the difference from year to year - how much the kids have grown, how Dave and I have aged (gracefully of course). We have always stood in front of the fireplace with the kids standing on the raised hearth. This may be the last year Emily will be able to stand on the hearth. They are growing up fast. It is hard to believe that in just 6 months Emily will be 7 and Matt 4. Of course, it is always nice to have family together at the Christmas Holiday.
