Thanksgiving Day

I love Thanksgiving. We always watch and/or tape the Thanksgiving day. Emily did enjoy watching the parade for a while. She was the most happy when the floats and balloon passed through. All the musical numbers were a little long and "boring" to her. Matt had no interest whatsoever. He was thrilled though that daddy took him to the Becton High School football game in East Rutherford. He got to see one of the Carlstadt fire trucks there. Once again, we had Thanksgiving dinner at Mrs. Nagurka's house, the mother of our good friend Dawn who was there with her husband, Jack, and their kids, Jonas and Brendan, along with a few other family members. Matt was the entertainment at dinner - he prayed and sang "Silent Night". The food was very yummy as always. We did break our Thanksgiving rule and did actually stop at a store that was open that evening - Michaels. They were having a great sale and I needed my craft supplies. Sad I know. All in all it was a very nice Thanksgiving day.

Computer Obsessed

Matt has taken over the computer. Thank goodness I got my laptop or he and I would be battling over who gets to use it. His favorite sights are YouTube so he can watch fire truck, train, Thomas Train and Lego videos, Noggin and most recently the Lego website. He does really well on the computer. Part of our decision to get a Wii as a family Christmas gift is so that instead of sitting and playing games on the computer, both kids will have to be active in their game playing. I'm sure he will still love the computer though.

Thanksgiving Eve Dinner

We have made it a tradition that the night before Thanksgiving we go out for Hibachi. This year we went to Kiku in Paramus, NJ. Both kids love watching the chef do his tricks. Emily was thrilled when one of the female hostesses put an umbrella in her drink. She immediately turned it into a hair accessory. We all enjoyed the wonderful food. Even though Matt's face in this picture doesn't show enjoyment.

A New Year -Time to get Blogging

So, I'm trying to get back to updating the family blog on a regular basis.  Not sure how successful I'll be but I am going to give it an honest effort.  Some of the post will go back to update what happened since Thanksgiving, so bear with me and enjoy reading.....a lot.
