To say Matt LOVES Angry Birds is a total understatement.
His obsession as of late, his NEED to get a pig.....but not a big pig one the same "size" as his birds. Matt has tried every arcade "grabber" game in his quest to obtain a pig.
Well, a friend of mine had gotten Emily a small gift and she wanted to do something for Matt so I told her about his "quest" for a pig and she got him one.
Yesterday when I got the pig, I put it on Matt's bed waiting with the birds for him to come home from school. I stood in the kitchen watching him walk to his room. Emily sidetracked him by going gaga over her gift. Then, I saw him head into his room which was followed by a huge gasp and then the sound of crying. He came out of his room, arms wide open, crying saying, "thank you, thank you so much" over and over. I told him that I was glad he was happy but I didn't buy it for him my friend, Kim, did. He said to me, "Tell her thank you, thank you so much". He was so overwhelmed with thanks I had him call her and leave her a message. What I loved most was that he told her it made him "happy cry".
It was fun hearing him in his room having a conversation between his birds and his new pig. Little Matthew is happy at last!!
